I usually work with my headphones on, listening to the music I like to hear, and I find annoying to enter a web site that hits me with unwanted sound.
That's musical spam!!
OK, you have a great musical taste, that band is great, but PLEASE! don't hit my ears in this moment, I'm listening something else!!!
.. not to mention when you are in search of something and open a dozen of tabs and you have to seek where the hell is that noisy plugin...
I'm with you on that. It's exactly why I have headphones on listening to what I want and the computer speakers off.
ReplyDeleteDon;t hate to shared
ReplyDeleteYou are correct!!
ReplyDeleteI hate this too! I completely identify with what you've said. And with the bit about having to search through the tabs to find who's making the noise. Grrrrrrrrrrr.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more!
ReplyDeleteit's super-annoying. furthermore, it's hurtful. you might just listen to something without a much pimped production on the headphones (so, you're volume may be about average), when this unwanted music with latest phatt production values auto-starts attacking your ears, your nerves and your heart.
ReplyDeletehell, how many times did i threw my headphones panicly away (or turned my amp as panicly down) just because some stoopid guy thinks he has to rub my nose in his audio crime scene.
so to all people managing websites with auto-music reading this: please turn off the auto-start. it's simply not polite.
Agred!
ReplyDeleteyou are absolutely right. anyone who takes the time to surf the many music blogs is a music lover who must be listening to music while surfing. i appreciate bloggers who share new sounds, but let me choose if i'm interested or not.
ReplyDeleteI agree, this is not professional and necrophylian commercial sounds
ReplyDeleteDon't smoke marijuana, you'll again have green head
100% with you on this - and, seeing the other comments, it strikes me it might be time to start a crusade! Can The Canned Music Now!
ReplyDeleteNext time I come across a blogger who commits this execrable crime, if I receive your permission I am going to post a copy of this post plus the comments above - with a credit to stigma rest room.
ReplyDeletewhen you enter a site that starts playing music, it shows you what kind of fool is on the other side.

totally agree. you might find this little tool helpful:
ReplyDeletehttp://googlesystem.blogspot.com/2006/02/flash-mute.html
helps me for sure. I keep the whole browser mute and just ctrl+shift+M when I want to hear some youtube video.
